More is in you

Endurance events are not only about physical fitness: they are about your mental threshold. We often get asked whether an individual can complete the challenge of Deloitte RAB. The simple answer is yes you can. One of our founders, James Cracknell, set the tone for our Threshold mantra of More Is In You and with 3 Olympic gold medals in his pocket you can tell he lives by it. Comparing yourself to or competing against James Cracknell may seem a little far-fetched, but there is a lot to be learnt from his approach. He will always tell you there is a significant difference between what you think you can achieve and what you can actually achieve. Deloitte Ride Across Britain proves this every year.

We will keep you going through the dark times

Of the 750 riders who take on Deloitte RAB each year, many of them do not know if they will finish. The scale of the challenge, especially in the middle of winter training, seems insurmountable. However, the team focuses on doing everything we can to get you up and down every single one of those hills. Whether it be the day by day training plans to get you to the start line in good shape, or the team of physiotherapists ready to care for your aching muscles at basecamps we will keep you going for as long as your mind remains strong. You will have to dig deeper than you may have ever done before, but the fantastic camaraderie with the 749 other riders creates an electric atmosphere to help you keep turning the pedals in the dark times.

Make the leap. You won’t regret it

For those of you who are wondering about making the decision to join us on Deloitte RAB 2014 now is the time to make the jump. The moment you have signed up all those questions drift away and you will wheel your bike out onto the road and the first mile of the first training ride of your Deloitte Ride Across Britain experience will have begun.

We really hope to see you on the start line in Land’s End on the 6th of September 2014, but if you have any more questions or need some advice, please do not hesitate to give us a call. We are here to help. Give us a call on 0845 486 2012 or send an email to
