DHL Supply Chain
Excellence. Simply Delivered
DHL Supply Chain is delighted to be the official freight transportation partner for Deloitte Ride Across Britain.
DHL’s primary responsibility during Deloitte RAB will be to safely transport the event equipment, such as: tents, luggage and essential supplies from site to site in order to ensure the event runs as smoothly as possible and the riders can just focus on the challenge ahead of them. This is a complex task involving multiple vehicles, covering more than 25,000kms during the event. Making sure everything arrives where and when it should be will be the responsibility of our handpicked team of 25 drivers, our DHL ambassadors before, during and after the event.
With a UK fleet of more than 7,000 vehicles, our number one priority is to operate the safest and most efficient fleet on the road. To do this we are constantly reviewing the latest technologies available and installing features such as forward facing cameras and proximity sensors to help make our vehicles safer. We also provide our drivers with comprehensive training and safe operating procedures, which are regularly reviewed. Throughout the event, riders will be able to meet our drivers and see how we are driving a safer future for the industry.
Jon Wood, Vice President for Retail at DHL Supply Chain said: “We’re delighted to be taking part in what will be DHL’s first Deloitte RAB. Our aim is to bring our logistical expertise to deliver a great event for the riders. We will also be entering a team with over 50 customers and employees who will come together to raise money for the road safety charity Brake and local charities”.
We are delighted that Dulux is to be the Official Colour Supplier for the Deloitte Ride Across Britain.
The Dulux Team believes in the power of colour and is committed to making a positive difference to people’s lives through its Let’s Colour project. The project is about transforming grey spaces all over the world – it’s as much about transforming and touching the lives of people as it is about sharing the joy of bright and beautiful colours using Dulux paint.
As the 160 strong Dulux Let’s Colour team ride across Britain attempting to raise £250,000 for our partner charity, The Outward Bound Trust, we will also be adding colour to the lives of communities who live along the route through local Let’s Colour projects.
