Physios, massage therapists, paramedics and doctors everywhere you look on the road and base camps

We pride ourselves on getting the maximum number of people through the whole event. With our record from the first two years of getting 94% of people crossing the finish line we think we’re getting pretty good at it as well. A key part of this is the medical support we provide at all stages.

At base camps

We have an army of massage therapists and you receive a free sports massage every other day to ease away the aches and pains. We also have fully qualified sports physiotherapists if your complaint is more serious. This is also included free of charge, but you need to sign in for a slot when you get in off the road. Adding in the doctors as well then there is little which we can’t deal with on site to ensure you get whatever it is you need quickly to get you back up and cycling each day.

On the road

Finally we have motorbike first aid riders, medics at the pit stops and paramedics in cars out on the course able to respond to any accident within the shortest possible amount of time.

Like we said. We take this part very seriously.
