The Prince’s Trust is extremely delighted to be the official charity partner of Deloitte Ride Across Britain in 2017 and would like to encourage you to join #TeamPrincesTrust.
The Trust supports 13 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed and those struggling at school and at risk of exclusion. Many of the young people helped by the Trust are in or leaving care, facing issues such as homelessness or mental health problems, or they have been in trouble with the law. We believe that every young person should have the chance to succeed. Our mission is to help disadvantaged young people in the UK to change their lives and get into work, education, training or volunteering.
Our free programmes give young people the practical and financial support they need to stabilise their lives. We help them develop key skills while boosting their confidence and motivation.
Over the last forty years we have helped 825,000 young people. In the last ten years alone the Trust has returned £1.4 billion in value to society through our help for disadvantaged young people. Three in four young people supported by The Prince’s Trust move into work, education or training.
Read more about the Trust’s impact in our Forty Life-Changing Years report. As our Parallel Lives campaign shows, life could have been very different for some young people without the Trust’s support.
Good luck to you the riders as you undertake this incredible challenge. To find out more about fundraising for us or how to get one of our charity places click here.
Every mile you ride, every puncture repair, every energy gel and every gruelling training session goes towards changing a young person’s future. With your support we can help even more young people reach their full potential.
We look forward to seeing you on the road.
