Like many of our fellow event organisers, COVID-19 is having a huge effect on the events we can put on for our loyal community of cyclists. Scheduled for September, Deloitte Ride Across Britain was set to be the jewel of our summer. However, having taken on board all the advice from the UK Government, the World Health Organisation and others, we have made the very tough decision to postpone the event to 2021.
This is not a decision we have taken lightly, but after detailed discussion and listening to feedback from you the riders, we believe it is the best option to protect the interests of everyone involved including the general public. We strongly believe we all have a responsibility to tackle this challenge together.
The pressure on the core Threshold team and our wider network of incredible suppliers has never been greater as we look to respond to a rapidly changing situation. Our aim remains to make 2021 event the best yet, just a little later than we all hoped.
We are doing everything we can to support our participants, our amazing network of suppliers and our team as things change around us.
We are automatically deferring all registrations to the 2021 events at no cost to participants. If you cannot make those dates, you can find further details around options available and information on imminent instalment payments HERE including information for charity participants. We understand everyone’s situation is different and so we hope the options available seem fair.
Once again, we thank you for the understanding so many of you have shown to date. Every kind word and note of support makes a massive difference as we do our best to navigate these difficult times.
We hope to see many of you next year and in the meantime please look after yourselves and others.
